A recent review and a past experience answer different questions.
Recent experience
A recent review describes what happened now or recently. When ratings are available, it can contribute to the subject's current rating. Photos are optional unless the recorder clearly says otherwise.
Past experience
A past experience preserves an older story without presenting it as a judgment about the subject today. It is clearly dated, has no star rating, and does not affect the current rating. The recorder may require a visit month and a supporting photo.
Past experiences can appear in Discover when that feature is enabled and the experience is included. An administrator can control the overall feature and individual Discover inclusion.
Supporting signals
Photos, dates, location information, and confirmation can provide context. Labels such as presence verified describe a supporting signal, not absolute proof. The exact checks can depend on the experience type and current configuration.
Choose the option that honestly represents when the experience happened.
