Languages

Dafado is built so a review can be read by anyone, whatever language they speak, without asking the guest who recorded it to speak any language but their own. A recording stays in the voice and words the guest used. The reading is where language becomes flexible.

Read any review in your language

Every published review can be translated on demand into the language a reader needs. The reader taps once, and the text appears in their language. Nothing about the original changes: the words the guest spoke, the language they spoke them in, and the audio you hear are all preserved. Translation is a reading convenience layered on top, never a replacement for what was said.

The original spoken language is always one tap away. A reader who wants the words exactly as they were recorded can return to them at any time.

The original is preserved

The most important rule is that Dafado never rewrites a real voice. A recording made in Hungarian stays Hungarian. A recording made in English stays English. Translations are generated from that original, so the original is the source of truth and everything else follows from it. If the original is ever corrected, the translations regenerate from the corrected text.

This is why Dafado does not translate a genuine transcript into a single "house" language and publish only that. The voice is the evidence, and the evidence stays honest.

Interface language

Alongside review translation, the site itself and its copy exist in English and Hungarian today. This covers the reading experience around a review: navigation, buttons, headings, forms, and the emails Dafado sends.

Your language is chosen with a simple order of preference:

• Your explicit choice comes first. If you pick a language, that choice is honored and remembered.
• Otherwise your device language is used. A reader whose phone is set to Hungarian sees Hungarian without doing anything.
• English is the fallback when neither of the above points to something else.

A language switcher in the footer lets you change languages by hand at any time, and it shows the language you are not currently reading, so the way to switch is always visible.

Language follows you across links

Picking a language once should not mean picking it again on every page. When you move through Dafado, your language is carried across links, so a reader who chose Hungarian stays in Hungarian as they click from a review to a place to the site around it. The goal is simple: choose once, and stay in your language.
