Your voice, your rights

Dafado only works if the person who speaks is treated fairly. These are the promises Dafado makes to you, the guest, and how each one is kept. None of them is marketing language; each maps to something the platform actually does.

Your voice stays yours

When you record a review, you are lending Dafado your voice for one purpose: to show your review. Dafado does not reuse it, clone it, or license it to anyone for anything else. You are shown that commitment before you publish, and it is stored alongside your recording as a record of exactly what you agreed to.

Your review is a real, unaltered original

The moment your recording arrives, Dafado takes a fingerprint of it (a cryptographic hash) and asks an independent timestamping service to sign the exact time. Together these let the original always be shown to be genuine and unchanged. The raw recording is never edited. Anything you hear on the page, like a touch of background music or a cleaned-up transcript, is a separate layer built on top, and the original stays untouched underneath it.

You choose what you agree to

Before your review publishes, Dafado records your consent in plain terms, in the language you are reading: that your review may be shown publicly, transcribed, translated, and answered by the place. Each of these is captured on its own, so there is never any doubt about what you said yes to. In the same breath, you are told what Dafado will not do, which is reuse your voice beyond showing your review.

No place can silence you

A place can reply to your review in its own recorded voice, right beside yours. What it cannot do is take your review down, hide it, reorder it, or pay to have it removed. Only Dafado removes content, and only when it breaks the rules. This is the whole reason a Dafado review is worth trusting: the voices are not for sale.

You can delete anything, anytime

You can delete any review, or your whole account, whenever you want. When you do, Dafado removes it from its live systems right away: the recording, its transcript, and the record of it. For safety, Dafado keeps routine backups, and a deleted item may sit inside those for up to about a week before they cycle out, after which it is permanently gone. Dafado never restores a backup to bring back something you asked it to delete.

Speak and read in your own language

You can speak in your own language, and Dafado detects it. Any reader can then read your review in theirs with one tap, while your real voice stays exactly as you recorded it.
