Analytics

The simple, privacy-minded funnel Dafado records to understand where guests drop off.

What Dafado measures

Dafado records a simple funnel: the journey from scanning a QR code to a published review. The goal is narrow and practical. It is to understand where guests stop, so the recording experience can be improved.

The steps counted are the natural moments along that path:

  • Scan. A guest opens the recording page from a QR code.
  • The steps in between. Moving through the recording screen toward the microphone.
  • Record start. The guest begins recording.
  • Record finish. The guest stops recording.
  • Prompt taps. Tapping the on-record prompt card for another idea to talk about.

How it is measured

The funnel is recorded in the site's own database. It is first-party. Nothing about it is shared with an outside analytics company.

The counting is deliberately minimal. It records that a step happened, not who took it. There is no attempt to build a profile of a visitor across sessions.

What it does not collect

Dafado does not run a third-party analytics tracker on its pages. The funnel is designed to answer one question, which is where guests drop off, and answering that does not require identifying anyone.

Cookies and storage

The recording page is a single page load with in-place state changes. The whole journey from scan to submit fits inside one visit to that page. Because of that, the funnel does not need to store an identifier on the device to follow a guest around. There is nothing here that would require a consent banner on its own.

Why keep it this way

A measurement that changes what it measures is worthless. By staying first-party, minimal, and free of persistent identifiers, the funnel stays honest: it tells Dafado where the experience loses people without turning guests into tracked users.
