Overview

Dafado turns a spoken moment into a lasting, findable page. This page lays out the vocabulary the rest of the docs use, and the model underneath it.

Subjects: places and people

Every Dafado review is about a subject, and a subject is one of two things.

• A place: a restaurant, a cafe, a bar, a shop, a place to stay, a trail, a park, or anywhere a guest can stand and have an experience. Places come from public map data, or a guest adds one the map has never heard of.
• A person: a creator, a host, a guide, anyone who wants a page that collects voices about their work. A person page is claimed by that person, never opened about someone else.

The two share almost everything downstream. The difference is what the page is about and how it was created.

A review

A review is a short recording, and everything Dafado grows from it:

• the audio, the guest's real voice, played back on the page;
• a transcript, cleaned of obvious mishearings, with the original recording always preserved;
• translation on demand, so any reader can read it in their own language;
• the page itself, findable and shareable, one per review.

A guest needs no app, no account, and no keyboard. They scan, they hold a button, they talk for about 20 seconds.

A reply

A place can answer. Not with a typed template, but in its own recorded voice, shown beside the review. This is the right of reply, and it is the other half of what makes a review page feel fair.

The two rules

Two rules hold the whole product together. Everything else serves them.

1. Every real voice stays up. The warm and the hard alike. A place cannot reorder its reviews, hide a low one, pay to remove one, or take one down. Only Dafado removes content, and only when it breaks the rules.
2. Every place can answer. The reply sits next to the review, in a real voice, so a hard review and a fair response are read together.

The first rule is why a Dafado review is worth trusting. The second is why a place is willing to be reviewed at all.

The shape of a review's life

1. Scan. A QR code on the table, the receipt, or a sticker opens the recorder.
2. Speak. About 20 seconds, in any language.
3. Process. Dafado transcribes, cleans, and prepares the audio for playback.
4. Publish. The page goes live, with the voice, the transcript, and one-tap translation.
5. Answer. The place replies in its own voice, whenever it wants to.
