Findability and SEO
How Dafado makes real voices findable and shareable in the right language.
Every voice has a home
A review is only useful if people can find it. On Dafado, every published review is its own page. So is every place. This means a voice can be found by search engines, linked to directly, and shared on its own, rather than being buried inside a long list.
For place owners, this is part of the point. When people are already talking about your place, the page collecting those voices is where new visitors discover it.
How search engines find everything
Dafado publishes a hand-built sitemap: a single, complete map of the public pages worth indexing. It lists the marketing pages, every published place, and every published review. Search engines and other crawlers use it to find the whole corpus rather than stumbling across pages one at a time.
Only places with a published voice are listed. A page for a place that nobody has spoken about yet is not added, because there is nothing there to read. A place earns its spot in the sitemap when someone has actually said something.
The right language, indexed correctly
Dafado is published in English and Hungarian, and search engines need to know which is which. Every page carries correct language annotations and canonical tags, so:
- The English page is indexed as English.
- The Hungarian page is indexed as Hungarian.
- Neither is mistaken for a duplicate of the other.
The result is that the right language shows up for the right reader, in the market Dafado actually serves.
What is left out on purpose
Private and in-progress pages, such as forms and account screens, are deliberately kept out of the sitemap. Sending a crawler into a form is a dead end. The sitemap points only at pages a stranger should be able to land on and understand.
